Can I part-exchange my old scanner against a new one?
Probably! Cintel often takes back Ursa standard definition telecines as
part exchange against a new Millennium2, DSX or dataMill machine.
Values of the older 422 Ursa machines are decreasing rapidly but Ursa
Gold and Ursa Diamond machines are still in demand. Cintel performs a
full factory alignment on these machines, often fits a new CRT and
sells them on with a Cintel Warranty. MKIII machines unfortunately have
very little value and would not normally be considered for
part-exchange. Cintel has also negotiated on the trade-in of other
manufacturers machines (Philips' Spirit, for example).
The amount of trade-in value will depend upon the age,
configuration and condition of the machine but it is always worth
contacting Cintel sales@cintel.co.uk to see what value can be achieved.
Please note that Ursa machines are still fully supported by Cintel and
we still offer upgrades in the form of TWiGi, Scand'al and Y-Front.
