Also shown will be the production version of 2K/4K film scanner ditto evolution as well as a new Telecine Controller and Colour Correction Solution.
imageMill2 is a new image processing workstation adding network capabilities and data file management to the existing imageMill capabilities. GRACE the noise and film grain management tool and STEADY, the faster-than-real –time real time image stabilisation application will be on show at IBC and a new Dust/Scratch Concealment option called ORIGIN is due later in 2010.
Cintel Sales Director Simon Carter commented “imageMill2 will address the industries need for a powerful and fast yet simple to use Noise and Grain management tool for Digital Intermediate applications. With speeds in excess of 30fps for 2K files and 45fps for HD files, the performance of imageMill2 is unequalled. We are currently processing 4K files at just under 10fps and can also deal with SD files at twice real time. With imageMill2 you can truly ‘Eliminate the Wait’ in image processing and restoration.
Cintel will also be exhibiting the production version of the 2K/4K film scanner diTTo evolution. diTTo evolution offers a modular and upgradeable solution to film scanning. Building on the successful elements of the renowned diTTo scanner including unequalled image performance, easy to use Interface and the famous D/SCO - Dust/Scratch Concealment option, diTTo evolution additionally provides a fast shuttle capability, a non-pin registration mode for archive scanning, imageMill2 processing tools and a 3.2D density range.
Simon Clark, Cintel’s Business Development Manager, commented; “diTTo evolution offers solutions to all film scanning needs. It can evolve from a simple-to-use, calibrated pin registration scanner for Digital Intermediate use with superb image quality to a multi-format, non-pin registration machine for shrunken and damaged film incorporating a full set of image restoration tools. We can now offer the faster-than-real-time imageMill2 tools – GRACE and STEADY built-in to the scanner”.
Cintel will also be demonstrating, on Stand 7.B35, a new MillenniumHD Telecine workflow utilising the OCEAN Controller and Colour Correction system from Marquise Technologies.
Simon Carter stated “The OCEAN system fits a real market need for a user-friendly yet very powerful telecine controller and colour corrector. At IBC this year we will be showing OCEAN on MillenniumHD but there are plans in place for OCEAN to control all Cintel telecines as well as the imageMill product lines”
