diTTo exceeds first quarter expectations

posted on 5th Jun 2006

The continued success of Cintel's digital intermediate solutions has been reflected in a lively first quarter. Confirmed orders for 6 diTTo units have been received in the first quarter with four now installed in Europe and LA. Rainmaker Digital Pictures in Vancouver have installed their third DSX scanner. Their decision to expand their portfolio of Cintel products was based on the quality, flexibility and reliability of their existing machines and to meet the demands of their clientele. Fotofilm Deluxe in Madrid have become the fourth owner of a DSX in the city to enable them to have the technology to compete in this quality driven sector. The Asia Pacific market continues to be an active area for Cintel with recent Millennium installs to Digital Magic Hong Kong, RoadRunner Manila, Ignite Media Manila and the latest at Infinite Frameworks, Singapore in February. Recent sales have brought the install base of imageMill to 30, with many users due to add the new image stabilisation software ‘Steady’ to compliment the ‘Grace’ grain reduction capability. ‘Steady’ was launched at NAB 2006 to wide acclaim and will be delivering from July 2006. ‘The activity in the first quarter of 2006 has been extremely positive and we are very pleased with the market reaction to the newly launched diTTo scanner’ said Marisa Giles, General Manager ‘We are confident that we’ve developed a great desk top scanner that addresses a need in the market place, with performance matched by looks!’ she continued ‘It is also pleasing that there continues to be a demand for our more traditional telecine and proves that we have been right to continue such in depth research and development in this area’. Cintel will be launching diTTo to the APAC market at Broadcast Asia, showing it as part of a workflow alongside Sledgehammer from Max T and Lustre from Auto Desk, on stand 7C4-06. diTTo/Max T/Lustre workflow attached.
