Cintel can offer data solutions with LVDS and HSDL (High Speed Data Link) interfaces from the C-Reality and DSX data-cines and HSDL from the Millennium data-cine and dataMill scanner.
The diTTo scanner has Gigabit Ethernet and Fibre Channel interfaces as standard and can support other interfaces on request
Data Management - Python 2
Cintel appreciate that there is more to data management than just storing vast folders of image files on disk. We have developed a comprehensive solution to enable easy - yet sophisticated - monitoring and picture analysis for use pre and post storage.
Cintel's solution, Postware and Python 2, simplify the entire data process. Postware comprises the necessary hardware and Python2, the user interface.
Python 2 enables users to control the motion picture film scanner, transfer film material to data, monitor live images in data mode, manipulate the data format and control its flow as well as interfacing it to storage devices, colour correctors and image manipulation tools.
4K Data
The amount and quality of data retrieved through film scanning impacts the entire post production process - from the overall clarity of the image, to the ability to add effects, modify colour, or manipulate the image.
DSX and C-Reality film scanners have been designed to capture the maximum film image information as it scans. High quality optics and extreme resolution CRT's enable our scanners to scan data resolutions from SD to 4K (4096x3112 RGB at up to 14 bits). 4K transfer speeds approach 1 frame per second.

Ultra Pin
For C-Reality and DSX film scanners, we have developed a unique fixed pin registration system which eliminates any possibility of image instability between frames. Transferred images will always match the stability of the original camera.
Look Up Table Engine
Whether the end product is for Video, back to film or even magazine graphics Cintel's LUTE ensures accurate monitoring and grading for that medium.
Compression
4K scanning can generate huge data files of around 50MB per frame. Our research has shown that file compression could be a way forward.
